Crusader Family,
With the completion of the first week of the 2026/2027, I would like to say we are thrilled for all of those returning for the upcoming season and for those who have come other clubs or trying swimming for the first time. The Crusaders have a long history of pride and achievement and we want to continue this trend in the upcoming season.
The club showed strong resilience last year with the swimmers showing the heart and dedication which makes the Crusaders a special club. We believe the upcoming season has all the markings of being a great year and look forward to seeing great things from the swimmers. I know the Coaches are excited to be back at the pool and look forward to working with the swimmers to provide them with a great season of fun and hard work.
The Crusaders club has always been known for and has a great reputation for its volunteers and commitment to the sport and once again we will be looking to the volunteers to assist with many of the opportunities that will be set out throughout the year.
The club has been busy in the off season in preparation for the upcoming swim season to ensure its a great one for everyone involved.
Lastly, the club is aware of the current repairs being completed at the Centennial pool. The temporary closure of the pool has made a serious dent in pool accessibility to all clubs in the metro area, leaving clubs scrambling for alternative pool rental time. The Crusaders, having been affected by this are working hard to find a solution and will communicate any changes or updates as we get them. Please look for any updates regarding this matter to be communicated in the weekly splash.
