DCSC Introduces Spond for Team Communication

This season to help with communication our club will be using Spond. Spond is a team communication app, which allows parents, athletes, and coaches to be connected. There is a general DCSC site, where all members will have access, as well as specific pages for each group, where only those who are affiliated with the group will be given access (for example, only parents and swimmers of Blue will have access to the Blue page).
Within each group, members will have the ability to create posts to share information, ask questions, and collaborate. This can be a great way to crowd share and crowd source information in a timely manner. Additionally, coaches may create polls to get information on who is attending a specific event (though not for meets) or other information.
There is a messaging system within the app, and users must be over the age of 18 to use the messaging system. This is for the safety of all users. While you can message coaches, they may not reply outside of their working hours, as many are in school or have other employment.
While we are using Spond, this does not necessarily replace our other forms of communication. For example, meet information continues to be best distributed by email.

This will allow you to join the general DCSC page, though this may require approval. Once approval has been given, you will also be granted access to the appropriate squad pages for your family.
