Crusader Sophia Croft wins Bronze at Science Fair!

We are excited to recognize Sophia Croft for her academic achievements. Sophia recently competed in the Canada Wide Science Fair and was named a Bronze Medalist for her research. Read below to see what her research and project were about!

Title: What's for Dinner? Impact of Food Choices on Indoor Air Pollution Exposure Time

Overview: Cooking produces small-sized indoor air pollution particles that are hazardous to human health. In my project, I examined how long dangerous levels of pollution particles remain in the indoor air based on the type of food cooked. I found that cooking red meats produce pollution that remains in the air at dangerous levels for nearly twice as long as white meat cooking.
