Call for volunteers! Director of Fundraising
Hello all,
We have a volunteer position available that we are looking to fill this season.
Our organization runs smoothly because of the efforts of all our volunteers—from individuals supporting our canteens during meets to those who help with equipment orders, fundraisers, administration, officials’ training, and more. We have been extremely fortunate to have so many of our families step forward to help. That is one of the core values of being a Crusader.
Here is the role we are currently seeking to fill:
1. Director of Fundraising
The Director of Fundraising is a voting Board position responsible for developing and overseeing fundraising activities.
Core Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy: Develop the annual club fundraising plan and present it to the Board for approval. This is typically done collaboratively with the Board.
Oversight and Guidance: Oversee all fundraising initiatives, serving as the central guide and point of contact for individuals running independent events, such as the Sobeys Gift Card and Citrus fundraisers.
Committee Leadership:
Chair the Fundraising Committee and lead its efforts.
Oversee all fundraising coordinators, recruiting individuals for specific events and liaising between them and the Board.
Time Commitment: The time commitment is flexible and scalable based on the structure established by the Director. The role is designed to delegate event execution, minimizing the Director’s day-to-day commitment through the use of dedicated event coordinators.
Meetings: Attend the monthly Board meeting, held on the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings are a mix of in-person and remote formats.
Support: The Director will have the support of the Board in both developing the fundraising plan and recruiting members for the Fundraising Committee.
